Ascaron and Koch Media have officially announced Sacred 2's expansion pack, titled "Ice & Blood."
Despite Ascaron being acquired by Kalypso, we've known for some time that the expansion was still coming, and now we've got the details.
The expansion pack will add in another main character - the Dragon Mage - as well as plenty of new quests, stories, enemies (said to use "unique tactics"), items, and two all-new locations.
"We know how fervently the fan community is yearning for new adventures, and we are confident that we will be able to release 'Ice & Blood' within a matter of months," says Georg Larch, the international marketing director of Koch Media.
If you're up for a Diablo-esque action-RPG, you could do worse than the ridiculously big Sacred 2. Ice & Blood is due out, both at retail and through digital download, later in 2009.
At the moment, only a PC edition has been announced. It's unclear whether or not we'll see this on 360 or PS3, but we're in the process of finding out.
