Halo 2 Reason Why Only 100 Xbox LIVE Friends?

Halo 3Halo 2 is the reason players will be limited to 100 friends on their friends list, according to rumours.

Microsoft has blamed the original Xbox LIVE code which was implemented into the  360 to allow the use of original Xbox titles.

But now, four years since the release of the Xbox 360, the reason seems to be narrowed down to one title: Halo 2.

Speaking to G4, a high-level Microsoft source confirmed the news stating if the Xbox 360 wants to support more than 100 friends then it will have to cease Halo 2 on Xbox LIVE.

The source also said they were not sure if Microsoft will disable support for the original Xbox LIVE but there is a chance it could happen when Halo 3: ODST is released later this year.

Would you want to see Halo 2 dropped from the Xbox 360 in favour of more friend slots to add to your Friend Lists? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below or meet up with fellow Halo 2 players in the new forums.
