StarCraft II DLC And Demo After Release

Blizzard's Dustin Browder promise content for StarCraft II between release and expansions.

General Screenshot"We have always done multiplayer stuff before," he told us, saying Blizard has "had downloadable content since 1996, 1997 with downloadable maps."

Considering this, and how Blizzard usually handle games post-release, he is "sure [Blizzard] will continue this with some sort of project like that."

"There is also a bunch of stuff that I am sure will occur on Battle.net in terms of feature improvements for the core game itself that will not be quite worthy enough for one of our expansion products, but we want to do it now. So I am sure there will be stuff in between."

The only question is whether or not this will be part of the "microtransactions" scheme Pardo mentioned in the same interview, or if it will be completely free, like previous games have had.

Blizzard also has plans for trial versions of the game, but Rob Pardo, VP of game design explained Blizzard "will do those after release though, like we've kind of done with all th. We always do`te ce thouyx, dlikhose after release."

Besides our interview with the StarCraft II devs, don't miss our big upcoming StarCraft II Single Player Hands-On Preview, all the new single player screenshots and single player gameplay video footage released today by IncGamers!
