Activision Blizzard expects to release Blur in November.
The news comes from ActiBlizz's Q2 2009 earnings call, in which the company's president and CEO of publishing unit Michael J Griffith stated "In November, we'll release our new racing game, Blur, from Bizarre Creations."
Blur is, as Griffith says, a racing game by Bizarre Creations but it's quite unlike the company's Project Gotham titles. The emphasis is on fast, arcadey fun, and the game is more than reminiscent of Wipeout or Mario Kart than anything else.
"Blur had a strong showing at E3 as well," continued Griffith, "including the nomination for best racing game."
He's not wrong. We thoroughly enjoyed getting our hands on Blur back at E3. It didn't, however, make it into our E3 awards.
