Activision has confirmed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has exceeded all previous pre-order records it has ever had.
The news broke after last nights earnings call from Activision Blizzard reports Kotaku.
It seems like the £54.99 GBP price tag Activision has put on Modern Warfare 2 hasn't put off gamers who are eagerly awaiting the sequel on 10 November.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 is also at number five in the all-time pre-order chart.
The Marvel team based RPG is expected to arrive in September, and will feature a cameo from comics legend Stan Lee.
