Lampard and Walcott Join Rooney on FIFA 10 Cover

Frank Lampard and Theo Walcott have been confirmed as the cover artists for FIFA 2010 for the UK.

They join box regular Wayne Rooney in the next instalment of EA Sports annual football game.

FIFA 10 is the fifth year Rooney has featured on the UK cover, with Lampard previously featuring in the 2006 edition of FIFA World Cup. Arsenal winger Walcott makes his debut on the pack which will release 2 October.

"To join the likes of Wayne Rooney and Frank Lampard on the cover of FIFA is a huge honour for me," Walcott announced.

"FIFA is definitely the best football game on the market, and I am delighted to be featured on the cover again," said Manchester United's Rooney.

"I play the game regularly online and against a lot of the lads at the club and I'm looking forward to the 360 degree control as it will make FIFA even more realistic than any other football game out there."

Chelsea midfielder Lampard added, "Being on the cover of this great football video game with such a long history is really special for me".

"We're delighted to welcome both Frank and Theo... Along with Wayne, they represent the very best of English football talent and we're proud to have them join us for FIFA 10" said Trevor Uzice, marketing manager for FIFA 10.

FIFA 10 will feature 360 degree dribbling to give you better control of the ball on the pitch, so far the preview build has impressed IncGamers' Andy Alderson.
