Wheelspin Announced For Wii

Bethesda has announced it will publish a new “inter-planetary” racer for the Wii.

Wheelspin is being developed by Archer Maclean's Awesome Play Studios and is due for release across Europe this autumn.

The arcade racer features speeds of up to 650 km per hour and offers solo, eight player race and battle modes. It will support the Wii Remote, Classic Controllers, Nunchuk, Nintendo GameCube controllers, and force feedback racing wheels.

“WHEELSPIN is a frantically fast-paced game which pushes the Wii to its maximum capabilities. With nothing but your own reactions and the tilt of the Wii Remote between you and victory, this game is a truly thrilling experience”, said Sean Brennan of Zenimax (Bethesda's parent company).

“Archer Maclean and Awesome Play have delivered a great game which we believe gamers will relish the chance to get to grips with. WHEELSPIN makes great use of the controllers supported by the Wii and players will find that there’s the perfect control set up for their individual gaming styles”.
