Activision has announced that a Call of Duty title for DS will launch simultaneously with Modern Warfare 2.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Mobilised, containing more subtitles than Hard-Boiled, will have a "unique storyline and companion narrative," which we suspect means it will run concurrently to and intersect with the plot of Modern Warfare 2.
It looks to feature building-to-building combat, the ability to hack into enemy terminals, and vehicle control - with battle tanks, UAV spy drones, and the guns on an AC-130 gunship mentioned.
It's also going to feature six-player online multiplayer (with the ability to host your own servers, no less) in addition to a Survival Mode and an Arcade Mode. The former throws a number of weapons at you and asks you to hold off waves of enemies, while the latter lets you replay the single-player campaign with a time limit and a score, with extra points awarded for specific achievements.
It's due out at the same time as Modern Warfare 2 - 10 November. Oo-rah.
Have a look at our Modern Warfare 2 preview if you're still champing at the bit for more Call of Duty goodness, or perhaps get a tad over-excited at the news that Call of Duty: Classic will be coming to Xbox LIVE and the PlayStation Network. We won't tell anyone.
