IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey Handheld

The PSP and Nintendo DS versions of IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey have been detailed today.

Over 25 planes and 42 missions will be included in the DS version which is being developed by DiP Interactive.

The WW2 flight sim will utilise the touch screen by allowing you to take hand drawn notes into the battle showing enemy positions and bombing co-ordinates.

SME Dynamic Systems Limited will be developing the PSP version which will include 30 missions. Players will be able to pilot 14 of over 30 different aircraft included in the game. A non-linear campaign allows you to pick any mission which in turn will unlock additional levels. Multiplayer will feature in the form of a one on one dog fight.

Both versions will join the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions for a 4 September release.

Check back next week for a full video preview of the Xbox 360 version.

Also included are six new screenshots for the PSP and DS versions.
