Warner Bros. is reportedly thinking of launching a franchise based on World of Warcraft, after it was confirmed this week that Sam Raimi would be directing the Warcraft film.
Warner Bros., who is co-financing the movie with Legendary Pictures, believes WoW has the potential to become as successful as Harry Potter or Batman, according to reports on the net.
Raimi will begin work on the Warcraft film after completion of the fourth Spider-Man movie. Warner has said that the Warcraft film is planned to be released in 2012.
