Codemasters has announced that Colin McRae: DiRT 2 will ship in September.
Our American cousins will be able to get the game from 8 September, while EPAC territories will have it on 10 September, and the UK will be waiting a further day as our release isn't 'til 11 September.
This release date covers Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PSP, and DS, as we already know that DirectX 11 support has delayed the PC version.
The off-road racing sequel looks to be a big improvement its predecessor with new race types and locations that will span over 100 events that range from London to Malaysian rainforests. Famed driver Ken Block will appear in the game, and one of those new events is the Colin McRae Memorial Cup in honour of the late driver. Apparently, he's central to the narrative.
Rev your engines in preparation for release in early September.
