Details on the forthcoming guitar controller for Guitar Hero 5 have turned up.
IGN had a look at the controller and noted that the main difference from the Guitar Hero World Tour controller is, as expected, the aesthetics - a red faceplate and a white pick guard.
The controller has also been made a tad more durable. Internally, the strum bar will be both more durable and more responsive, and on the outside the material itself is "a bit more textured," according to Brian Bright, project director at Neversoft.
The one big change is on the slider bar. For starters, it's now digital rather than analogue, which "[reduces] the chance for error and latency." Additionally, slight reliefs have been added to the middle, top, and bottom slider frets, meaning that it's much easier to tell where your fingers are at a touch, in addition to coloured dots above each of the slider frets.
Oh, and Guitar Hero 5 will have a 13-minute long song. We believe "Eep" is the appropriate response.
