League of Legends EU Beta Sign-ups Live

GOA and Riot Games have announced that the European Beta for League of Legends is now underway.

Based on the massively popular DOTA, League of Legends can best be described as a strategy RPG focusing on online gameplay. Riot Games is made up of industry veterans who have worked on Warcraft III and it also includes team members who worked on the successful DOTA-Allstars mod for Warcraft III.

News that the EU closed beta has now started also means that Beta sign-ups are now being taken for European gamers. The sign-up form is now online with further game details.

"League of Legends has already generated a substantial fan base and we are excited to launch this phase of beta," said Ghislaine Le Rhun Gautier, CEO of GOA. "Effective beta testing is critical in the development of any successful online game, and we are committed to continually working closely with European users to ensure this game is an amazing experience for them to enjoy."
