Harmonix Warns Music Games Could Be Console Free

Harmonix has warned music games could run without a console in the future.

"I think you could foresee a future where maybe you don't even have a console," Harmonix's Josh Randall told VideoGamer.

The creative director added, "Your instrument can have all these songs and you just plug it into your TV. I'm sure it [the genre] is going to start to move in weird ways that no-one's even thought of yet."

However, he did reassure fans that Harmonix is "focused on the consoles" so don't expect to see Rock Band as a plug and play game for your TV in the immediate future.
