New Halo 3 Maps Revealed

Bungie has offered a sneak peek at three new multiplayer maps for Halo 3.

As part of the company’s Bungie Day celebration yesterday, it revealed details of the maps which will be included on the Halo 3 multiplayer disc bundled with Halo ODST when it launches in September.

Heretic

Those familiar with Halo 2 will recognise Heretic as Midship, based in the interior of the Pious Inquisitor. The symmetrical areas encourage strategic play to gain the advantage over the enemy.

Citadel

Citadel is an abandoned Forerunner stronghold featuring two opposing bases which offer little in the way of safety. Players will have to communicate effectively and be prepared for some close quarters battles.

Longshore

An abandoned port in Old Mombasa, Longshore caters for fans of large scale combat as well as smaller skirmishes, with its elevated walkways, industrial buildings and open inlets.
