The creator of Ico, Fumito Ueda, has dismissed the praise for GTA IV and Super Mario Galaxy.
Speaking to LEVEL magazine (via NeoGAF), he discussed his work on Shadow of the Colossus as well as passing comment on a few big name titles.
When talking about Grand Theft Auto IV, he said the game lacked any new innovative features.
"The graphic style impresses, but not the base premise, which is exactly the same as the predecessors."
He went onto mention Super Mario Galaxy after it was rumoured that Miyamoto took inspiration from SotC for one of Galaxy's stages.
"I had expected more, that segement [sic], was like the rest of the game not so fun as it could had been."
