Guilty Gear 2: Overture Date, Details, Screens

505 Games has announced that it will be publishing Guilty Gear 2: Overture in Europe.

The latest in the Guilty Gear series appears to be a bit of a departure from the 2D fighting games of old, with players choosing a character and then controlling them and troops - known as "Servants" - in order to control the map and destroy the opponents' strongholds, known as "Masterghosts."

We're promised a single-player campaign, two-player splitscreen, and four-player Xbox Live multiplayer. 50 units will be present, designed by Daisuke Ishiwatari, the artist who worked on other parts of the Guilty Gear series. Confirmed returning characters are Ky Kiske, Sol Badguy, and, of course, That Man, although there's no word on whether we'll see transvestite schoolboy nun Bridget, gay billiard-cue wielding assassin Venom, or bag-wearing scalpel-wielding giant doctor Faust.

Screens and a box shot follow. This still isn't an HD Remix of Guilty Gear X2, though, is it?
