Nintendo Buys UK TV Show
 James Chalmers

Nintendo has bought a new quiz show for UK channel Five.

Britain's Best Brain will be an advertiser-funded programme and will be used to promote DS titles, according to MCV.

The deal has cost Nintendo £2 million GBP and will include eight one-hour programmes.

Britain's Best Brain will see contestants take on five different tasks using memory, co-ordination, numeracy, recognition and risk - which sounds an awful lot like Nintendo DS hit Brain Training.

"We're really excited to be working with Tiger Aspect, GroupM and Five on this ambitious new show and stepping into the realm of advertiser-funded programming for the first time," said Nintendo's senior product manager James Honeywell.

The show will hopefully air in October on channel Five.
