Columbia Pictures is making a film based on the PS3 game, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the adaptation is set to be scripted by Kyle Ward, the writer behind the upcoming Kane and Lynch film and the sequel to Hitman.
The game follows the story of Nathan Drake, a descendant of Sir Francis Drake, who believes he has found the fabled El Dorado, an ancient city of gold. However, he is not the only one searching for the treasure and he soon finds himself a companion in the form of journalist Elena Fisher and an enemy in rival treasure hunter Gabriel Roman.
The sequel to the game, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, is due for release on PS3 before the end of the year.
