Sacred 2 Expansion Still Coming

Sacred 2 will still be receiving an expansion pack despite fears that it would be cancelled after Ascaron was acquired.

Kalypso Media recently picked up the rights to floundering company Ascaron, which filed for bankruptcy earlier this year. Questions raised on the Sacred forums resulted in a prompt response by a community manager posting under the pseudonym of Anca Adelina Finta.

"Studio 2 (subsidiary company of Ascaron) has the license for Sacred 2 and the devs will continue working at the Addon as they did before. Kalypso and the other devs will do something different with the old licenses they bought," wrote Anca, who added "In a nutshell, the Addon is not affected by anything and will come as planned."

There's still no word on what we're likely to see from this add-on pack, or when we're likely to see it, however.
