Microsoft is offering an exclusive playable character if you preorder the game at participating retailers.
You will be able to use the Sgt. Johnson character when playing the new co-operative Firefight mode with other Halo fans.
Also, purchasing the game will ensure you get access to the Halo: Reach multiplayer beta when it goes live. Details on the game are scarce at the moment following its announcement at this year’s E3.
Retailers involved in the promotion will be announced in the near future.
Halo: ODST is due for release exclusively on Xbox 360 on 22 September.
