Harmonix Secures Green Day Exclusivity For Rock Band

MTV and Harmonix have announced a deal which will bring the music of Green Day exclusively to Rock Band.

The first fruits of the deal will come in the form of a three track pack, taken from the band's upcoming 21st Century Breakdown album, featuring “21 Guns,” “Know Your Enemy,” and "East Jesus Nowhere."

"We are excited to be working with MTV and Harmonix,” said Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong.

“They are leaders and visionaries in the world of music and video games, and Rock Band is a really cool way for fans of all ages to experience our music.”

More tracks are set to arrive later, although you could probably just play the Green Day tracks you already own and stick new lyrics over the top. That’s what they do.

Oof. Yeah, we did.
