Dungeons & Dragons Online Goes Free To Play

Turbine has announced that its fantasy MMO Dungeons and Dragons Online will switch from subscription based to free to play after the next update.

DDO: Eberron Unlimited will launch later this summer, introducing many new features along with unlimited free gametime. The level cap is being raise to 20, a new class is arriving with new low and high level content, new combat action and a new DDO online store all awaits players in the update.

The DDO store sells convenience items such as hirelings, premium adventure packs, extra character slots, potions, unique character customisation and more. Players can purchase these items with points earned in-game or use real money.

Players who want unlimited action to everything DDO has to offer can continue to pay a monthly subscription of $14.99. This provides a monthly grant of points to spend in the DDO Store, priority access to the servers, the ability to play all classes and races, additional character slots, a shared bank slot and more.

Find out more at the official DDO site.
