It's all-change in the former Infogrames (now Atari) as Atari president Phil Harrison steps down.
Harrison, who has only been with Infogrames for a little over a year, is not leaving the company but has taken on the role of non-executive director.
The latest fiscal earnings report reveasl it's a "shift of business operations to the US" which made Harrison step down.
"As all board members, he will continue to assist, support and guide the company's strategy," the company said.
Infogrames has gone through big changes in 2008, buying Atari and Cryptic, and changing its strategy to become "a leading 21st century online gaming company by becoming a leader in online gaming and by transforming the Publishing Business."
Focusing more on the US market, with a cost reduction program (called "Atari Transformation") and a new name, the company hopes to achieve its goal of online domination.
Atari has also promoted board member Jeff Lapin to chief operating officer, working with CEO David Gardner in the U.S. to lead the international business.
The new Atari has many games in the pipeline, including the anticipated Champions Online and Star Trek Online MMOs, which will be released this fiscal year or early next year.
