DJ Hero Getting Exclusive Original Mixes

Activision has announced that it has drafted in more DJs to create exclusive content for DJ Hero.

Joining DJ Shadow, who has apparently been acting as consultant on the title as well as contributing a few mixes, are DJ Z-Trip and DJ AM. DJ Z-Trip, apparently, is "a founder of the mashup movement who's known worldwide for his sold out shows and eclectic style," while DJ AM is simply "one of the world's premier and most in-demand DJs today."

Both DJ Z-Trip and DJ AM are appearing as in-game characters within DJ Hero, and are also creating "multiple exclusive mixes."

DJ Hero is a game with a turntable controller, which asks players to scratch, blend, cross-fade, and sample, while still giving room for a bit of creative license. Multiplayer lets two DJs battle competitively, or have a player MC over any track with a mic, or even allow someone to pick up a guitar controller and enjoy a bit of play on one of the "DJ-guitar exclusive mixes" that let you play with both turntable and guitar.

The tracks listed here are joining ones we already heard about, and that page also contains a bit of info about some of the songs announced and the way the game works, so ch-check it out.

Colour us interested.
