Kojima Teaser Site, Famitsu Magazine Rumour More MGS

The Kojima Productions teaser site has been updated with a picture of someone who looks spookily like Big Boss.

The image, which you can see below, is the next in the series of weird teases. First, we had lightning and a countdown. Then, we had letters or numbers and a countdown. Now, we've got an image flashing up, and a countdown.

The image depicts a slightly older, bearded man who looks a lot like Big Boss, wearing a beret on which the text "militaires sans frontières" is displayed. Which, as those who speak French - or, really, English - can tell, pretty much translates to "military without borders," or "army without borders."

This sounds a bit Outer Heaven to us, but the information today doesn't end there. The lightning on the teaser site has previously been thought to refer to Raiden (which is the Japanese word for "thunder and lightning") and scans from Famitsu now indicate that this may be right.

The latest issue of Famitsu reportedly contains an interview with Hideo Kojima, the auteur behind the Metal Gear series, which got rather more in-depth than expected. Famitsu was apparently able to run the full interview on the condition that the really tantalising stuff was censored, and while it doesn't contain too much that we don't already know, the scans on the page - showing images from the teaser site - show an image of a cyborg Raiden, complete with the countdown numbers.

So. Raiden, Big Boss, Outer Heaven? It's all speculation, but we suspect we'll hear a lot more come E3, as the current countdown is due to end just before the show starts.
