Activision has dated Guitar Hero 5 for this September.
The next in the series of popular rhythm-action games was detailed a few short weeks ago, where we learned about Party Play, the ability to alter the instrument makeup of your band, a few of the tracks, and a lot more.
Now, we know from the official site that the game is due out on 1 September - which is rather interesting, considering that a certain other music game featuring a band that were apparently bigger than Jesus is out just over a week later.
So far, we the following are confirmed to be in the game when it launches:
- Johnny Cash - Ring of Fire
- Santana - No One to Depend On (Live)
- Bob Dylan - All Along the Watchtower
- Tom Petty - Runnin' Down a Dream
- Vampire Weekend - A-Punk
- The White Stripes - Blue Orchid
- The Rolling Stones - Sympathy for the Devil
- Kings of Leon - Sex on Fire
- Stevie Wonder - Superstition
- Attack! Attack! - You and Me
- Face To Face - Disconnected
