Capcom has revealed that Resident Evil 5 sales have almost hit the five million mark.
Speaking at the Reuters Global Technology Summit in Tokyo, Capcom's CFO, Kazuhiko Abe, stated that sales of Resident Evil 5 hit 4.4 million before the end of March - the month it which it was released.
Sales in April hit around 570,000 units, which, as Shacknews points out, puts the current total at around 4.97 million.
Abe reckons that sales will continue well, with estimates that the game will sell one million units in the current financial year.
The sales aren't surprising, as we thought Resi 5 was really quite good - although the paid DLC that added competitive multiplayer didn't fare quite so well.
