The Agency Detailed

Sony Online Entertainment has released a fact sheet detailing the features of its upcoming PS3 and PC MMO, The Agency.

The player takes on the role of an elite agent tasked with traversing the globe, gathering intel and taking out criminal masterminds. Featuring competitive and co-operative gameplay, players can jump straight into head-to-head combat against other humans, or partake in the mission-based story mode. 

With a choice of playing as a Spy or a Mercenary, players will find themselves assassinating targets, administering arms deals, and indulging in espionage and counter intelligence.

The game will also feature NPC Operatives who can be collected and traded, and will provide support to the player throughout each mission.  When players rise to a certain point in their chosen faction they can also create their own Agencies and can further increase their power by forming Joint Agencies with other players.

The Agency has been confirmed for PC and PS3, with a release date to be announced. Waterboarding is not expected to feature in the game.
