Super Vehicles Lined Up For Champions

Cryptic plans to introduce vehicles for its superhero characters in the upcoming MMO, Champions Online.

Speaking to IncGamers at a recent press event, Bill Roper, executive producer at Cryptic Studios, revealed that there are plans to create super vehicles for players as an alternative to flying, burrowing, teleporting or swinging through the in-game world of Champions Online.

Roper indicated that the feature didn't quite make it for the game's release in July, but it is something Cryptic would like to add at a later date. After listing all the known methods of travelling so far, he expanded on Cryptic's plans:

“We talked about how we would do it, we just didn't have time to get it in before launch, but we'd also like to do vehicles. If you're a character who doesn't have super powers, but uses a lot of gadgets and tools, you could have a motorcycle that you could cruise around on. It does need a lot more art resources, we have to work in animations etc., so those will have to come after we launch, but it's something in the pipe.”
