Activision Announces Guitar Hero Autumn Line Up

Activision has announced that it will release three new Guitar Hero titles this autumn.

'DJ Hero', 'Guitar Hero 5' and 'Band Hero' is set to attract new players, according to Activision, due to the introduction of new music genres, difficulty levels and new gameplay options.

DJ Hero will bring new types of music to the Guitar Hero series, including R&B, hip-hop and dance. A new turn-table controller, seen below, will allow players to create original mixes of popular songs and music from the world’s top artists and DJs.

Guitar Hero 5 will bring new choices to the hit title; players will be able to drop in and out of songs, change band members, difficulty levels and instruments at will. The latest rock and roll tracks will feature in the game, along with some classics. Band Hero, which is the franchises’ first E10+ rated console game, will also bring new genres of music to the game that allows players to take up the microphone, guitar, bass and drums, appealing to a wider audience.

“Guitar Hero has made music social again and has become one of the most popular ways to experience music,” said Dan Rosensweig, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Guitar Hero franchise. “Today’s fans enjoy a variety of music and are looking for more ways to engage with their favourite songs, artists and fellow fans. These games will let them listen, participate and socialize with music in ways they have never been able to before.”
