College Footballer Sues EA

A former college football player in the US has filed a class action suit against the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and EA.

According to SFWeekly (via GamePolitics), former Arizona State and Nebraska quarterback Samuel Keller is suing the publisher for the “blatant and unlawful use of National Collegiate Athletic Association ('NCAA') student likenesses in videogames produced by Electronic Arts ... to increase sales and profits."

The news follows reports that a number of retired NFL players also have the publisher in their sights, after they successfully sued the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA) for $28m USD last year. EA, however, denies it is the subject of the lawsuit.
