Sony has negotiated a last minute deal to publish the official Ghostbusters game in PAL territories in June.
The game will be released in Europe and PAL territories on 19 June, exclusively for PS3 and PS2. A PSP version of the game is scheduled for launch in autumn.
Mark Hardy, the European product marketing director of SCEE, said the company is "bringing the PlayStation family the biggest and best gaming experiences first."
Atari will still publish Xbox 360, DS and Wii versions, saying it is "committed to maximizing the launch of the Ghostbusters videogame across Europe," and will arrive later this year.
This will be the game's third publisher in the last 12 months; the title was originally owned by Vivendi, dropped in the merger with Activision, and then picked up by Atari, something the developers mentioned in our video interview with executive producer Brendan Goss and creative director Drew Haworth.
The game's PlayStation releases will coincide with the 25th anniversary of the franchise, and Sony Pictures will release the Ghostbusters film on Blu-ray.
