BlizzCon 2009 Details Revealed

Blizzard has announced details for BlizzCon 2009 tickets.

BlizzCon, Blizzard Entertainment's convention, will be held between 21-22 August in Anaheim, California and was announced in February. The event will be even bigger than last year as the developer is combining the annual event in Anaheim with the Worldwide Invitational tournaments to make one very large convention. Events include panels, contests and other activities.

The company experienced major difficulties with their ticket sales last year, and has introduced a ticket queue system in preparation for 16 May, when the tickets will be available for purchase. There will also be a second batch of tickets available on 30 May.

Blizzard's choice of streaming the event via DirecTV invoked some criticism last year, but the publisher has announced it will be providing the same pay-per-view service this year for those that can't make the event.  Watching the live broadcast will cost $39.95 USD and you'll be able to view the event in HD.  Ticket prices, however, will be up on last year's price and you'll be able to pick them up for $125 USD.
