Fight Night Predicts Pacquiao Victory

Fight Night Round 4 predicts that Manny Pacquiao will beat Ricky Hatton in their upcoming 2 May matchup.

Electronic Arts used Fight Night Round 4's AI to emulate the forthcoming real-life boxing match, and the outcome, if FNR4 is to be believed, is that Pacquiao will knockout Hatton in the 11th round.

In the Fight Night matchup, Hatton unsuccessfully attempted to limit Pacquiao's movement, while Pacquiao hung back and picked his punches. Hatton managed to trap his opponent in the corner in the fourth round, and Hatton capitalised on advantage for the next few rounds, knocking Pacquiao down with a left hook towards the end of round six.

Pacquaio managed to recover, and reverted to his earlier success and managed to outbox Hatton again, leading to a knockdown in the tenth, and a knockout in the eleventh.

Whether or not things will go this way remains to be seen, as the match is due to take place this weekend. Players can recreate the bout for themselves when the Fight Night Round 4 demo launches later on in May, featuring these two boxers.
