Calling All Gears 2 Cheaters

Microsoft has cleared Gears 2 cheaters' Gamescores, according to a post on Major Nelson's blog.

In the post, Nelson said that, through monitoring, "[w]e have pinpointed a group of players who have unlocked specific Gears of War 2 Achievements through an unauthorised hack."

Nelson goes on to say that cheaters "are in direct violation" of Xbox LIVE's terms of use and hacks like these "will not be tolerated."

So if you're one of those players that has taken advantage of the glitches in the system, don't be surprised to see your Gamescore wiped.  

Players will be unable to appeal to the decision made by Microsoft.

For those that have had their Gamescores wiped, they'll be unable to regain previously earned achievements and will be branded as "cheater" on LIVE.
