EA has denied it is being sued by retired NFL players over their inclusion in the Madden series of American football games.
Earlier this year, we reported how former Oakland Raiders defensive tackle, Dave Pear, was investigating the amount of money paid by EA to the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA) for player rights in the Madden games.
Recently, former Cleveland Browns halfback, Bernie Parrish, posted on Pear’s blog claiming retired players are suing the NFLPA and also EA for using the images of retired players without paying royalties.
However, EA has told GamesIndustry.biz that it is not targeted in the suit. “This is a dispute between the retired players and their union," said a spokesperson.
"We are not aware of any legal action involving EA."
