Mickey Rourke Signs On For Rogue Warrior

Bethesda has announced Mickey Rourke will take on the role of the central character in the upcoming Rogue Warrior.

The star of the Wrestler will provide the voice for Richard “Demo Dick” Marcinko, the real-life founder of the elite SEAL Team Six. In the game, the team becomes trapped behind enemy lines when war breaks out between North and South Korea.

The game is set to feature huge, “contiguous” levels, powered by Unreal 3 streaming technology. Freedom is the buzzword in Rogue Warrior and the player is afforded a choice in how to complete each objective.

“Mickey Rourke was our first choice to play Marcinko in Rogue Warrior,” said Todd Vaughn, the game’s executive producer.

“He absolutely, one-hundred percent captures Marcinko’s raw and gritty personality.” 

The game is due for release on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in Q4 this year.
