Codemasters has announced the release of next generation F1 games which will come to the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC next year.
The debut title, F1 2009, will be released on the Wii and the PSP later this year and will hope to deliver an accurate representation of this year's tracks and races.
Although the next generation of F1 games will include all the official tracks from the F1 tour, the emphasis is on the real driving experience. You'll be able to access any team and driver, from Lewis Hamilton (who makes his debut in a videogame) to David Coulthard, as well as the relevant teams.
With reference to the relationship between Codemasters and the F1, Bernie Ecclestone, CEO Formula One Management Limited said "Codemasters has a great heritage when it comes to racing games."
"We're working closely together on the upcoming Formula One titles and we are very impressed with what we have seen."
