Killzone 2 DLC Coming

Killzone 2 DLC should be hitting around the end of April.

The news comes from the latest Gametrailers TV video, in which Herman Hulst, managing director of Guerrilla, talks a little bit about the upcoming DLC for Killzone 2.

The first piece of DLC is called Steel and Titanium, and is due out around the end of April. It comprises two levels, set on "two of the largest vehicles in the Killzone universe," according to Hulst.

The first map takes place on the ISA cruiser, the New Sun, and "contains a very new gameflow. [It's] a lot more vertical, you've got multiple decks."

The second map takes place on a pair of "high-speed Helghast freight trains." Players will be able to hop from train to train, but need to be careful, as "the environment becomes sort of your worst enemy."

Hulst also gave away a few details on future DLC. "These are actually two of the fans' favourite settings from the single player that we're bringing over. However, going forward, you're going to get some proper new features as well," he stated.

"One of the words in the second pack that'll we'll release [...] will be 'Retro,'" Hulst finished. Does this imply that the next pack will convert maps from the first game? Speculate away.

Steel & Titanium will be released towards the end of the month at an unspecified price point.
