New Fable 2 DLC Detailed

Lionhead have released details on the next DLC pack for Fable 2.

Titled See the Future, the DLC adds in a host of new content. Players are asked to either "heed the call for a hero to restore color and balance to the world, or let Albion fall by the wayside."

Victory grants a glimpse of the future, hence the title, offering "a quest that provides a vision of Albion's future and what lies ahead for those born into the heroic bloodline."

All this and more, naturally. You can expect new creatures, characters, and legendary artifacts, as well as some old faces. Murgo the trader will be making a reappearance following his appearance at the beginning of Fable 2, offering plenty of new items - including potions that can change the breed of your dog.

Two new quests have been mentioned, too. The Ghosts of the Snowglobe quest involves a small model village that was once a real place, and the ghosts that were once its denizens are trapped in "eternal torment until the shadowy threat that cursed them is defeated." In a similar vein, the Cursed Knight quest has a knight trapped in a "land beyond the dead," who requires a hero to, uh, dress up in costumes to save him. Including a Hobbe and a Balverine, apparently.

Also detailed was the Colosseum, which "puts even the Crucible to shame," but those who best its combat trials will win "the ultimate in prizes."

We've heard a little bit about See the Future before, with Peter Molyneux having been quoted as saying that it is "a little bit more story driven. It answers some of the questions [...] It's going to test you a little bit emotionally as well. But I think the real thing here is it starts to tease and hint at what is starting to happen in the world of Albion and what is happening in the future."

See the Future is due out in May, for 560 Microsoft Points. If you've not picked up Fable 2, we highly recommend it.
