EA have released a tool letting you manage EA games on your hard drive that have SecuROM DRM.
The tool scans your machine to see which games you have installed, tells you how many activations you have left, and lets you download the game-specific tools to de-authorise a game, and free up a slot.
The tool functions for any game released after May 2008, it seems, so it should ease up any DRM woes you're having.
In an interesting move, the forthcoming EA game The Sims 3 will not feature any DRM at all. Whether or not this means EA is moving away from DRM on the whole has yet to be seen, but they have been slated for their use of it in the past.
