Animal Crossing on the Wii has been censored.
Destructoid received an email from an irate owner of the game, who took a great deal of glee in making the cute animal characters use phrases like "sex fiend."
After a recent update, though, said owner discovered that any catchphrases containing a "bad" word have been replaced with a row of exclamation marks. "That's right, now everyone in town is spewing exclamation points at us," said the gamer.
This perhaps isn't a surprise, considering the family-friendly nature of the game, but debates on censorship rage in both directions whenever something like this crops up.
A step in the right direction, or just !!!!!!! silly? You decide.
