IncGamers' StarCraft network site, StarcraftWire.net, reports that Blizzard has updated its BlizzCon beta page, fuelling specualtion that the StarCraft II beta is nearly ready for launch.
The text is re-written to be more neutral, and a signup form is once again visible on the page. It's unknown if this change is in preparation for the anticipated StarCraft 2 beta, or just site maintenance. Codes given out for the StarCraft II beta are not accepted by the page at this time. The fact that the signup is on the World of WarCraft site, rather than Blizzard.com, Battle.net or StarCraft.com would imply that it is actually not the StarCraft II beta.
However, speculation continues for several reasons: the wording no longer mentions any specific games, the game's beta is imminent according to the lead developer Dustin Browder, the BlizzCon beta page links the WoW page even though it's well known the next BlizzCon beta key is for StarCraft II and that the WoW site would be a good place to hold the signups, since it has the capability to meet the demand of thousands of fans trying to sign up.
IncGamers has contacted Blizzard for a response, stay tuned for more info.
