Runes Of Magic Beta Closed Down

Runes of MagicFrogster has closed down the beta for its free to play MMO, Runes of Magic, in preparation for the game's launch tomorrow.

All servers have been taken down, along with the official website and forums. However, the patch server remains up so that players can update their clients in time for the opening tomorrow, 19 March. Players are advised to download the client as soon as possible to avoid a rush when the servers open.

Anyone who tried out the beta will be pleased to know that Frogster intend to move their characters from the beta to the live client, however, they will have no experience.

RoM is a free to play MMO which looks and plays much like World of Warcraft or Warhammer Online, with plenty of high quality content and some excellent features such as player housing, guild castles, an arena system in the works, instances for low level and high level groups and much more. A cinematic trailer was also released recently, which shows the Demon Lord, the arch villain of the first act.

If you'd like to find out more about it in time for the launch, be sure to read our preview.
