Battlestations: Pacific Dated For UK

Battlestations: Pacific has been dated for release in both the US and the UK.

The game, a sequel to Battlestations: Midway, has two campaigns, set over 28 missions. The US campaign sends players into the battles of Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima, amongst others, while the Japanese campaign lets players expand the Empire, starting in Pearl Harbor.

The action/strategy hybrid grants direct control over "fighters, bombers, kamikaze planes, destroyers, aircraft carriers, submarines, and many more, including powerful prototype units."

Multiplayer has five modes and will support up to eight players. Siege and Duel modes pit players against each other, Competitive asks players to work together against the AI, Escort asks players to either protect or destroy a particular naval unit, and Island Capture revolving around capturing an island archipelago.

The game is due out on PC and 360 on the 12th of May in North America, and the 15th of May in Europe and Australia.
