More Rumours Of Champions Online For PS3

Cryptic Studios is advertising a job slot for a PS3 Engine Programmer, sparking off more rumours that the upcoming MMO Champions Online is being developed for the PS3 along with the PC and Xbox 360.

Speculation has arisen before from comments made by developers, when they unmistakably referred to the game being available on the plural term 'consoles'. The only console that has been confirmed to play Champions Online at the moment is the Xbox 360.

The latest spate of rumours come from a job advertised on the Cryptic Studios site. The position is for a PS3 programmer. The description even mentions Champions Online, along with Star Trek Online, which we know is being released on the PS3:

"Are you interested in a challenge? We have developed a flexible, cutting edge MMO platform to power games like Champions and Star Trek Online. It runs on PC and XBOX 360 - now we want to support PS3 too. Are you an expert PS3 coder? Do you enjoy squeezing every last drop of performance and spare memory out of the system?"

Fingers crossed PS3 fans, you could be playing your very own superhero on your favourite console soon!
