Sins of a Solar Empire: Entrenchment Now Available

Stardock has announced the first microexpansion for Sins of a Solar Empire, titled Entrenchment, is now available for download.

The Entrenchment expansion adds all the things you'd expect with a name like that - a huge amount of new defensive options, including starbases capable of annihilating entire fleets, and minefields. Naturally, new offensive options are also available in order to counter them.

The AI has also been upgraded to tackle all of these new elements, and also to provide a bit more of a fun challenge.

For those worrying that this will ruin the balance of the game, bear in mind that Entrenchment has been in a closed public beta for quite some time, and has been subject to rigorous testing from scores of players.
