Tabula Rasa Server Merge: EU Server Not Included
 Bill Vaughan

Tabula RasaNCSoft has revealed that the EU server for the troubled MMO Tabula Rasa will not be included in the planned server merge, which is in preparation for the shut-down of the game on 28 February.

The European server, Centarus, will be left so that the 'sunset event' can be hosted seperately in a time zone more suitable for European players.

A data capture of all information on the US servers Pegasus, Orion, and Cassiopeia will be carried out today in preparation for the merge, however, players are strongly advised not to do anything 'irreversable' to their characters in case the merge does not go ahead.

The newly-formed server, made up of the servers mentioned above, will be known as 'Hydra'. This news came as part of an update from NCSoft on the issue of the server merge.

The Sun will be setting in Tabula Rasa, never to rise again...

Farewell.

Even if I never played TR or even was terribly interested, I still think the feeling of a permanent shutdown is very sad. It's nice that they get a proper event for it, but never the less, for all the players in the universe, it IS sad...

It's pretty god damn awful. If/when that happens with some of the other big MMOs out there someday, there will be people threatening to kill themselves over it I reckon.
