Codename: Panzers - Cold War Demo Released

Atari has released a full mission from Codename: Panzers - Cold War as a demo.

The demo features mission 11 from the full game - an assault on an enemy-occupied island - and showcases the unit customisation aspect of the game, allowing players to alter the weapon and armour makeup of their units as well as unlock unit-specific abilities such as mine detection.

Codename: Panzers - Cold War moves the real-time tactical combat franchise from World War 2 into an alternate timeline set in 1949, in which war has broken out between the USA and the USSR following the fall of Nazi Germany.

The game is scheduled for release in March 2009, and a second demo showing off the multiplayer will be released before launch.
